Greater Ideal Family Life Center

Join us for our 2020 Virtual Summer Day Camp!

We are so excited Greater Ideal Family Life Center has decided to offer their Summer Day Camp Program virtually this year! As it is becoming clear this summer will look different for us all, one of the greatest challenges will be the safety, health and continued education of our children. As more information surfaces about how other programs will be providing their services this summer, we will strive to update our site and provide pertinent information.

For this summer day camp, eight teachers will virtually instruct 130 students from Kinder – 6th grade utilizing Google Classroom. Students will work from home, and teachers will be assigned to their own Google Classroom.

In Google Classroom, teachers will be visible and available to answer any and all questions students may have about the assigned work. The Life Center will provide students with all materials and manipulatives they need to work. For parents, you will be able to log in and see how teachers are interacting with your child, feedback on your child’s work, and what your child has accomplished each day.

This summer, we are offering two core subjects that include math and reading. Virtual classes will begin June 8th – August 14th @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, Monday – Friday. The deadline for applications is May 21st, 2020, at midnight. If you have any questions, please contact

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) application is required of all students for consideration of most forms of financial aid at ALL higher education institutions. Need help filling out your FAFSA? Join MISD & Midland College during one of our free FAFSA assistance sessions. No reservations are required.
